What People's Say About Place

The food is authentically Nigerian. It was very tasty and flavorful. I got jollof rice and oha soup. The serving size was good. I was able to divide both meals into 2-3 smaller portions. I have 2 recommendations: 1. For the chef, to use less oil in cooking. 2. The atmosphere of the restaurant could be more organized and inviting. 3. The menu should be redone to be more descriptive, especially for people who are unfamiliar with the cuisine. Lastly, I highly recommend this restaurant for the food whether you’re trying it for the first time or you want to be reminiscent of home cooking!

As a Cameroonian, the food tastes really good and the service is amazing. They bring the food to you immediately after you order and it is hot and well cooked. Highly recommend.

My Sun took Me to Royal Africana Lounge for my 53rd birthday; I must say I had a Royal time:) this place was cozy and elegant. The food was flavorful, savory and comfortable filling. I loved the music and decor. We will be returning soon and I hope (RAL) stay consistent in such dynamic service that keeps you coming back for more Yassa can't compare at all!!! Royal Africana Lounge platers are worth every dollar, because it's finger licking good

Tried Royal Africana on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. I had the jollof rice with goat and a side of plantains—super flavorful, goat was tender. Spent around $25 with a drink. Vibe was lively, music bumpin', but service was a little slow. Still, food came out hot and worth the wait. Feels like a legit spot for a night out when you want something different than the usual.

I absolutely love the Royal Africana Lounge! The food is always tasty and fresh! If something is wrong with your order, they make it right quickly with no problem. The owner and employees are very friendly. I travel here from the South Side of Chicago at least once a month! The food is so good!
